WELLS COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - Voters in the Southern Wells school district have said "yes" to
giving that system more money.
According to the Wells County Clerk's website, voters passed a
referendum Tuesday night 52 percent to 48 percent.
Leaders in the school system say the extra money will help
prevent job cuts.
Because of a lack of state funding, Southern Wells had to cut
three-and-a-half full-time positions last year.
