Officer arrested on meth charge

Arrest came after a two month long investigation

LaGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - A Deputy Town Marshal with the Topeka Police Department has been arrested on preliminary charges of Official Misconduct and Conspiracy to Deal Methamphetamine.

The I.M.A.G.E. Drug Task Force and the LaGrange County Sheriff's Department arrested 28-year-old Zachary P. Miller on Wednesday.  The arrest came after a two month long investigation in LaGrange and Noble counties that included numerous inverviews. 

Miller was booked into the LaGrange County Jail on preliminary charges which include three counts of Official Misconduct and one count of Conspiracy to Deal in Methamphetamine.  All the charges are felonies.

The Noble County Prosecutor's Office is in the process of reviewing evidence and more charges could be filed in the future.
