AUBURN, Ind. (WANE) - Former Auburn auctioneer Dean Kruse spoke to NewsChannel 15 on Thursday about his future plans.

Kruse sold his car auction park this summer to RM Auctions or Auctions American by RM . The Indiana Auctioneer Commission permanently revoked the Kruse auction house's license. Kruse also had his personal auction license suspended.

He was sued by over 60 unpaid sellers, but he blamed his debt on buyers who hadn't paid him.

This year is the first without Kruse's name on the auction park. Thursday he made an appearance at the Duesenberg Parade in downtown Auburn.

"I would say it's a lot more peaceful, I mean my phone wasn't ringing at 6 am and midnight. It's been more relaxing, and I've spent more time with my wife and my son. I haven't been able to do this for years," said Dean Kruse, former auctioneer.

Kruse said the car auction is still in his blood, and he's totally ready to give it up. He's willing to help RM Auctions anyway he can.

"I want the Auburn Auction to be a great success, and I want to make sure that happens and I'm going to be available to help them anyway I can," said Kruse.

Kruse admitted he is pursuing some new business ventures, and he hopes to make an announcement on them sometime in the next year.

"I have five or six on the drawing board, but they're not ready to announce yet but hopefully by maybe Spring we'll have some good things to announce," said Kruse.

RM Auctions made over $1 million worth of improvements to the park after it took over. Kruse said he is pleased with the work the Canadian based company has put into the park.

The Auburn Fall Collector Car Auction runs through Sunday.
