2 busted with 35 guns and meth in home

Police found 31 long guns and 4 hand guns.

LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - According to the Indiana State Police, two Wolcottville men were arrested early Thursday morning after police found a meth lab and 35 guns in a Wolcottville home.

The Indiana State Police Clandestine Laboratory Team received information Wednesday afternoon about a meth lab located at 6530 S 900 E, just outside of South Milford. Police were also informed that the owner had numerous firearms and warning systems inside the home.

While searching the home Thursday morning around 12:30 a.m., police arrested Lloyd Michael Germano, 54, 6530 S 900 E, Wolcottville, IN for Aiding in Dealing Methamphetamine, Class B Felony, Possession of Methamphetamine, Class C Felony, and Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Class D Felony and Mark Edward Hammel, 44, 6530 S 900 E, Wolcottville, IN for Resisting Law Enforcement, Class A Misdemeanor.

Inside, investigators found not only meth, but 31 long guns and four handguns. Inside of a small out building on the property, they found equipment commonly associated with the manufacturing of meth.

Both men were taken to and incarcerated in the LaGrange County Jail.
