NOBLE COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - When police went to investigate reports of a meth lab on West
Wolf Lake Road in Noble County and found no one home, they
conveniently found users who lived there after their car broke down
outside the Noble County jail Wednesday.
Over several days, the Noble County Sheriff's Department
received tips about a possible meth lab at 3147 West Wolf Lake
Road. On Wednesday, police and K9 units went to the home to
speak with the residents. However, no one was found at the
home and police left.
A short time later, a vehicle broke down just outside the
parking lot of the Noble County Jail. While police spoke to
the people in the car, they found the woman passenger had meth on
her. She was placed under arrest and taken to the Noble
County Jail. The woman told police she lived at 3147
West Wolf Lake Road with her husband, Randall J Hicks who was
driving the broken down vehicle.
After realizing the connection, police went back to search
the West Wolf Lake Road home and found ingredients used to
manufacture meth.
28-year-old Catherine Ann Hicks was charged with Possession
of Methamphetamine, a Class D felony and is being held under a
$4,500 bond. 24-year-old Randall J. Hicks was also arrested
and charged with Intent to Manufacture Methamphetamine and is also
being held under a $4,500 bond.
