Argument leads to stabbing

NOBLE COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - Christopher Akinyemi turned himself in to police Sunday after he allegedly stabbed a woman he was having an argument with.

Around 2:15 a.m. Sunday, Noble County Sheriff's deputies responded to a stabbing report in the 10000 block of E. Swan Road.  When they arrived, they found a woman with stab wounds on her arms and fingers on the front porch of the home.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was taken to Parkview Hospital where she was treated for her non-life threatening injuries resulting from the confrontation.

Twenty-year-old Christopher L. Akinyemi turned himself in at the Avilla Police Dept. just before 7:00 p.m.

He's being held at the Noble Co. Jail on preliminary charges of battery with a deadly weapon.
