Kosciusko County Drug Task Force officers arrested a married couple Wednesday evening after they were caught making meth in their home.
Leon Thomas Bontrager, 24 and Heather Diane Bontrager, 21, of 9639 Seneca Lane, Cromwell, Indiana were both arrested and preliminarily charged with felony possession of an illegal drug/methamphetamine lab.
After receiving neighborhood complaints of a strong odor, Kosciusko County Sheriff Deputy Shane Bucher determined the odor to be meth production and found products and equipment used in the production. Both Bontrager’s are being held on separate $2,000.00 bonds.
Sheriff Rocky Goshert stressed that this arrest was mainly due to the involvement and the concern of neighbors in the area. Citizens can continue to provide information regarding illegal activities anonymously by calling the Drug Task Force Tip Line at 574-372-2494.
