Headstones knocked over in IN cemetery

HUDSON, Ind. (WANE) - Ashley Police are conducting an investigation after gravestones were knocked over and broken in Hudson.

It happened at the Circle Cemetery in Hudson Tuesday evening.  Police believe the vandals knocked the headstones over between 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

The Ashley Police Department thinks there were two people because of how heavy many of the stones are. Officers have begun the process of contacting the families of the deceased whose monuments have been damaged. The cemetery will have to bring in special equipment to fix the damage
