Woman robbed at knife-point in Leesburg

LEESBURG, Ind. (WANE) A woman called 911 at about 1:30 p.m. on Friday and said she had been robbed at knife-point at the Leesburg Express gas station on North Main Street.

Detectives with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department  were told the possible suspect's car was a tan colored mini-van, maybe a GM or Chevrolet product. The vehicle appeared to head north after leaving the gas station.

The gas station clerk and other witnesses described the suspect as male, white, in his mid to late 20’s, with short, blonde hair that was spiked on top. They said his had a thin build and weighed about 120-130 lbs. They believe he was around 5’6” to 5’8”, had partial facial growth/stubble and wore a black T-shirt with blue jeans.

Anyone with information that may help with the investigation of the robbery is asked to call the The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department at 574-267-5667 or the anonymous TIP line at 574-372-2494.

Kosciusko County Sheriff’s deputies were assisted on the scene by the Milford Police Department and the Indiana State Police.
