FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) The woman accused of hitting and killing two people in May while drunk and high on cocaine pleaded guilty to two of the felony charges against her on Monday.

Hurtado's sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 18. She faces between 20 and 40 years in prison.

Corina Hurtado, 50, pleaded guilty to two felony OWI charges ( causing death when operating a motor vehicle with a schedule I or II controlled substance) on Monday.

Hurtado faced 12 charges: two murder charges, nine OWI felony charges,  and one misdemeanor charge of leaving the scene of an accident.

Fort Wayne police said just after 9 a.m. on May 8, Hurtado was driving a pickup truck east on Taylor Street. Officials said she hit an unoccupied vehicle at Broadway Street.

Police said while Hurtado was fleeing that crash, she hit a van at Fairfield Avenue.

The driver of the van, 79-year-old Harold E. Bebout, died at the scene of multiple blunt force injuries. The passenger in the van, Starr Bebout, was taken to a local hospital where she died several days later.

Hurtado was also taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Police said Hurtado was driving while intoxicated and her blood-alcohol content was .17%. She also tested positive for the presence of cocaine.
