FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Nyelah Hayes was sentenced to one year behind bars for pulling out a knife on a Fort Wayne bus on Thursday.
Hayes pleaded guilty on August 1 to pulling out a steak knife on a Citilink bus.
Police said back on the morning of April 3, Nyelah Hayes and Juwan Jones got into an argument over where Hayes should sit. During the argument, Hayes allegedly pulled out the steak knife.
Hayes ended up with a cut on her hand as a result of the fight.
Citilink officials said the bus was nearly full when the altercation happened.
