FISHERS, Ind. (WANE) A Fishers's woman was arrested for leaving her four-year-old son in a car just after noon on Monday.

Fishers Police Officers and Fire Department Personnel were called to the parking lot of the Super Target on Commercial Drive around 12:15 p.m. on Monday on a report of a child left locked and unattended in a car.

The mother was located shortly after officials arrived. Roni Rose Penn, 34, of Noblesville, said she had been running an errand and admitted to leaving her son in the car for about 30 minutes.

Penn was arrested and faces a felony charge of neglect of a dependent. As of Tuesday morning Penn was being held at the Hamilton County Jail.
