FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Police responded to reports of a shooting between the occupants of two cars around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the intersection of Lafayette Street and Senate Avenue.
A witness on the scene, who wishes to remain anonymous, said he saw the shooting happen from his front door. He said he looked out towards to the intersection and saw the occupants of two cars driving north on Lafayette St shooting at each other.
He said one car, a red Impala, made a sharp right-hand turn onto Senate Avenue and drove away in that direction. He did not have a description for the other car involved.
Several bullets hit nearby houses. While people were inside the homes during the shooting, no one was injured.
