ANGOLA, Ind. (WANE) A man who police say has been working in Angola since 2007 has been arrested for failing to register the Steuben County Sheriff's Department as a sexually violent sex offender.
Acting on information from the Michigan State Police, the Steuben County Detective Bureau began looking for Adam G. Garza, 43, who had been convicted of three separate sex offenses in Michigan from 1997 to 2005. Garza had been required to register as a sexually violent predator for life.
Michigan State Police were able to provide detectives with the name of the Angola business where Garza was working and he was arrested Friday.
After his arrest, It was learned that Garza has outstanding warrants in Michigan for several offenses. Garza was being held on a $5,000 bond at the Steuben County Jail.
