FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - A pursuit through several southeast Fort Wayne neighborhoods ended after the vehicle crashed into several cars on Bowser Avenue early Thursday morning.

Around midnight, police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle and attempted to stop it. The driver took off and evaded police through several neighborhood streets, including Pettit Avenue and Bowser Avenue.

The pursuit came to a stop when the car slammed into at least two parked cars in the 4800 block of Bowser Avenue. Debris from the vehicles scattered throughout several yards and along the street.

Police said two suspects fled after the crash. A large number of officers searched the area, including K-9 officers, but were unable to locate the suspects. A third person, believed to be a passenger in the vehicle, was not arrested by police.

Investigators said several items were found in the vehicle, but did not provide any further details.

The incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department.
