WABASH, Ind. (WANE) - Two men face multiple drug charges after a traffic stop near Wabash early Saturday morning.
According to a Wabash County Sheriff's Department report, a traffic stop for excessive speed on U.S. 24 near State Road 13 occurred Saturday around 2 a.m.
Deputies smelled a strong odor of marijuana as they approached a car. Additional officers arrived to search the vehicle and found four different types of controlled substances in the form of prescription pills, according to the report.
Investigators later identified a fifth pill as ecstasy.
Officers also found marijuana, paraphernalia, and marijuana hash in the vehicle. An unspecified amount of cash was also located in the vehicle, according to the report.
Police arrested the driver of the vehicle, Trevor J. Dickey, 22, residence not provided, and his passenger, Cory R. Antinick, 22, residence not provided.
Police preliminarily charged Dickey with possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, possession of MDMA (ecstasy), and maintaining a common nuisance.
Antinick was preliminarily charged with possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, and visiting a common nuisance.
