Three arrested for meth in Miami County

MIAMI COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) A two month long narcotics investigation ended Monday night with the arrest of three people.

Everett Phipps, 51, Julia Scott, 43, and Kelly Crouch, 45, were taken to the Miami County Jail and face felony drug charges.

Around 7 p.m. on Tuesday night, Indiana State Police and the Miami County Sheriff’s Department served a search warrant at a home at the 1900 block of W. 1050 South in Miami.

While searching, officers found methamphetamine and times used to make meth. The three people in the home, Phipps, Scott and Crouch, were arrested.

The trio faces felony charges for manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine under three grams, and maintaining a common nuisance. They also face a misdemeanor charge for possession of drug paraphernalia

Phipps and Scott are each being held on a $48,000 bond and Crouch on a $5,000 bond.

The Indiana State Police asks anyone with information about the possession, distribution, or manufacturing of methamphetamine to call the Indiana State Police Methamphetamine Tip Line at 1-800-453-4756. Information can be reported anonymously.
