FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - A man is in critical condition after he was shot at the VFW on Winter Street.

The Fort Wayne Police Department identified Adonis Robinson, 23, of Fort Wayne, as the victim.

The shooting happened around 1:50 Saturday morning in the 2400 block of Winter Street.  Officers tell NewsChannel 15 that a large fight broke out inside the VFW and someone called 911 saying they heard a possible gunshot during the fight.

When officers arrived, several people were standing outside but police couldn't locate any shooting victim.

A short time later, officers got a call saying a man suffering from a gunshot wound had arrived at a local hospital and was in critical condition.

Police are collecting evidence from the scene and interviewing witnesses.  There is no suspect information and no one has been arrested.

As of Monday morning, Robinson remains hospitalized in critical, but stable, condition.
