Sex offender arrested for rape

STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) A registered sex offender in Steuben County faces new charges for sexual battery and rape.
Police arrested Cain Joseph Hillis, 26, of Angola, on Friday afternoon on three felony charges: Rape, Sexual Battery, and Criminal Deviate Conduct.
The Steuben County Sheriff’s Department began an investigation of Hillis after an incident was reported on August 5. The incident is said to have occurred at a home just outside of Angola on July 27.
Hillis is a registered sex offender in Steuben County for a prior unrelated sexual offense conviction. He's being held at the Steuben County Jail without bond until his initial hearing on August 13.
