FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) The Fort Wayne Police Department has released surveillance footage of an armed robbery from earlier in the month.
According to police, the perpetrator entered the gas station at 4233 N. Clinton St. at around 7:30 a.m. on Jan 2. He approached the counter as if he was making a purchase but then brandished a handgun and demanded cash.
He left the scene, southbound, on foot. No one in the gas station was injured.
Witnesses described the suspect as a stocky black man, about 6-feet tall, and he is seen in the video clip wearing a dark ‘poofy’ coat with a dark-colored winter hat with gray fur lining.
Anyone with information on the identity or location of the suspect in the surveillance footage is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers at (260) 436- STOP [7867].
