SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) -- Police in South Bend say five people were stabbed during an apparent home invasion, including one person suffering a life-threatening injury.
Police were called Thursday night to the house just north of the city's downtown on a report of a robbery in progress. City police Division Chief Gary Horvath tells WNDU-TV that officers were able to arrest five people suspected of involvement in the attack.
Police say the five people were taken to a hospital with stab wounds ranging from superficial to critical.
Horvath says other people who weren't harmed were inside the house and called police. Investigators didn't immediately know the circumstances of the attack.
