FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Two people were hurt after a stabbing at 8213 Bridgeway Lane, in the South Bridge Apartment Complex, Monday morning.
Police said the suspect, a 33-year-old man, forced his way into his ex-girlfriend's apartment around 10:50 a.m. and began to beat a 19-year-old man who was inside of the apartment at the time. The suspect then grabbed a knife from the kitchen area and stabbed the man several times before fleeing.
The 20-year-old woman attempted to intervene during the attack and was stabbed in the hand, according to police. Officers said she was in fair condition at the scene.
Police said the stabbing victim was transported to the hospital in serious condition. He suffered from multiple stab wounds, according to police.
Officers arrested the suspect after he left the apartment. He was taken to the Allen County Jail. Police say multiple charges are pending.
