Police make arrest in apartment robbery investigation

FORT WAYNE, Ind (WANE) An arrest has been made in connection to one recent apartment robbery.
The Fort Wayne Police Department arrested Devonte M. Hamlet, 20, of Fort Wayne. He has been charged with two counts of robbery with a deadly weapon and three counts of criminal confinement.
Hamlet is suspected in a Jan. 10 robbery at the Island Club Apartment complex. According to police, around 10:12 p.m. on that day, a woman was followed into her building and forced into her unit at gunpoint by two men. The men bound the hands of the apartment's residents and took several items with them before leaving.

Police are continuing to investigate the other robberies that have occurred in apartment complexes throughout January.
