Police investigating robbery at Rite Aid in Paulding

PAULDING, Ohio (WANE) - The Paulding Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred at the Rite Aid at 1000 N. Williams Street on Thursday.

Police said at around 1:30 p.m., a man approached the pharmacy counter and handed an employee a note demanding prescription drugs. The note said he had a gun, but no gun was shown.

According to police, the man left the store through the front door and got into a gold or silver Grand Prix or Grand Am. Another man was driving the car.

The vehicle headed north out of Paulding on SR 127 and turned west on County Road 176.

Police said the suspect is described as:

  • White
  • 5’7”-5’10”
  • Brown hair
  • Thin build
  • Some facial hair
  • Wearing a gray zip-up sweatshirt
  • Blue jeans with dark blue stitched pattern on one leg and a red stitched pattern on one of the back pockets
  • Black shoes
