FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Police were called to the scene of an armed robbery at the Chase Bank at 6141 N. Clinton at about 10:00 a.m. on Monday.
According to public information officer, Raquel Foster, two men with guns walked into the Chase Bank around 10:00 a.m. and demanded money.
Witnesses told police the men entered the bank with their faces concealed and both brandishing handguns.
The men took off with cash in separate vehicles. One vehicle was in dark, boxy-style, mid 80s car with shiny wheels. The other car was a dark colored, smaller sized SUV.
Five employees and one customer were in the bank at the time of the robbery. No one was injured.
This incident remains under investigation by the Northeast Indiana Bank Robbery Task Force. This task force is composed of investigators with the City of Fort Wayne Police Department, Allen County Sheriff Department, Indiana State Police, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
At noon on Monday, Crime Scene Technicians were still processing the scene for potential evidence. Detectives are looking into any possible video surveillance images.
