FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Police said a homeowner shot at an armed burglar after he caught the man trying to break into his home.
According to our partners in news, the News-Sentinel, police got a call about a burglary in progress at around 10:20 a.m. Friday.
Police said a man living at the home, located at the 1600 block of Emerson Avenue, just north of Spring Street, found the suspect breaking into his house and shot at the would-be burglar several times. The suspect then ran from the scene.
Police don't believe any of the shots hit the suspect.
