SYRACUSE, Ind. (WANE) - Police discovered marijuana plants being grown inside of a Syracuse home on Monday.
Officers said a person told them that a marijuana grow operation was taking place at 212 Edgewater Drive in Syracuse during their attempt to serve an arrest warrant.
Police said they went to the home and were given permission to do a search.
Officers found several marijuana plants in pots with incandescent lighting being grown inside a bedroom. They also discovered more plants and incandescent lighting in a closet of another bedroom, along with cultivated marijuana in glass jars.
Paula Niles, 53, and Lester Niles, 60, both of Syracuse, have been preliminary charged with Growing Marijuana over 30 grams, a class D felony.
