FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) The Fort Wayne Police Department is asking for help finding a suspect in an armed robbery on Monday morning.
Police believe that the suspect followed the victim from gas station and then robbed the victim at gunpoint in the 2100 block of Fairfield Ave. No one was injured.
Detectives obtained surveillance footage of the suspect from the gas station. Anyone who has any information on the identity of the suspect is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers at (800) 237-STOP [7867].
The suspect is described as a black man, and in the video he can be seen wearing a black- and yellow- colored jacket with an emblem on the back. He was also wearing a winter hat and a dark hooded sweatshirt.
The incident remains under investigation with the City of Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
