SYRACUSE, Ind. (WANE) - Police arrested two Warsaw men Friday in relation to three different residential burglaries.

Police responded to a burglary in progress around 1:15 p.m. Friday at a home in the 8000 block of Syracuse/Webster Road in Syracuse.

Officers said Corey Ritchie, 24, of Warsaw, fled the scene during the burglary but relatives of the homeowners had detained him. Police found Ritchie with stolen items from the home.

Ritchie was arrested on a preliminary charge of felony burglary to a residence or dwelling.

Police said they also arrested Zackery Hernandez, 23, of Warsaw, after they received information that he was involved in at least one other residential burglary.

Hernandez was arrested and preliminarily charged with felony burglary of a residence or dwelling. He was also charged with felony theft.

Sheriff’s detectives said Ritchie and Hernandez have been correlated to at least three different residential burglaries in the last two months.

Police said Ritchie’s bond was set at $50,000 and Hernandez’s bond was set at $10,000.
