WARSAW, Ind. (WANE) - Police arrested four people in what could be the largest heroin bust in Kosciusko County history.
The Warsaw Police Department and Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department teamed up to make a heroin purchase and arrested Adam Shay, 21 of Elkhart, on a preliminary charge of felony possession of a schedule I, II, or III controlled substance.
Police said Shay’s arrest led officers to the Whispering Pines Mobile Home Park, south of Leesburg.
A S.W.A.T. team arrested three more people at the mobile home park at around 1:30 a.m. Thursday morning:
Police said they found over 100 small bags of heroin inside the residence, along with two firearms.
Officers also found two juveniles at the mobile home. Police said one was taken to a juvenile detention facility due to his alleged involvement in distributing heroin.

Police said this bust seemed to be the largest amount of heroin ever seized during an arrest within Kosciusko County.
Officers also said the investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are possible.
Police also obtained information of a possible meth lab while they were making the heroin buy.
Police said they found an active meth lab and HCL generator at 3160 Stoneburner Road in Warsaw. They also found marijuana and paraphernalia in the home.
Police arrested Shawn Luther Morton, 50, of Warsaw, on a preliminary charge of felony dealing and manufacturing methamphetamine over 3 grams. Morton’s wife, Dawn Ellen Morton, 47, of Warsaw, was also arrested on a preliminary charge of felony dealing and manufacturing methamphetamine.
Both Mortons are being held on a $20,000 bond.
