Steuben County officers responded to 2725 North Old Road 1 around 8:15 Thursday night on a possible methamphetamine lab.

The owner of the property became concerned and called police after she found items on and around her property that were consistent with meth.

After getting consent to check her property, Deputies found an active meth lab in an outbuilding on the property, along with paraphernalia and meth.

Jeremy Sparrow, 30, who was a guest of the homeowner was arrested and charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Paraphernalia. Sparrow was held on $57,500 bond Friday morning awaiting his initial hearing.

Assisting Deputies at the scene were Fremont Police Department and Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab Team.
