MARION, Ind. (WANE) Police served search warrants at two illegal clubs in Marion Sunday, arresting 13 people on various charges.
Excise police officers were assisted in the simultaneous execution of two search warrants by officers from the Marion Police Department, Grant County Probation, Grant County Sheriff’s Office and Indiana State Police. Excise police officers had received complaints from the public that these two locations were selling alcoholic beverages without the requisite permits.
One Nation, 3016 S. Washington, and The Scooter Club (also known as The Social Club), 3104 S. Washington, were both served with search warrants in the early morning hours of Sunday, July 1.
A total of 13 people were preliminarily charged as a result of these investigations. Officers seized two handguns, along with undisclosed amounts of U.S. currency, alcohol, suspected illegal drugs and miscellaneous other items found at both locations.
Ronnie W. Fields, 43, of Marion, was arrested at One Nation and preliminarily charged with maintaining a common nuisance (felony), dealing in unauthorized beverages, non-permitted unauthorized dealing and sale of alcoholic beverages without a permit.
Donesha E. Rice, 30, of Marion, was arrested at One Nation and preliminarily charged with maintaining a common nuisance (felony), dealing in unauthorized beverages, non-permittee unauthorized dealing and sale of alcoholic beverages without a permit.
James F. Riley, 38, of Kokomo, was arrested at The Scooter Club and preliminarily charged with maintaining a common nuisance (felony), dealing in unauthorized beverages, non-permittee unauthorized dealing and sale of alcoholic beverages without a permit.
Nichelle D. Riley, 42, of Marion, was arrested at The Scooter Club and preliminarily charged with maintaining a common nuisance, dealing unauthorized beverages, non-permittee unauthorized dealing and sale of alcoholic beverages without a permit.
Treyquan D. McClung, 24, of Marion, was arrested at The Scooter Club and preliminarily charged with maintaining a common nuisance (felony).
Steven A. Burton, 41, of Marion, was arrested at The Scooter Club and preliminarily charged with maintaining a common nuisance (felony) and possession of marijuana.
Marion Police Department officers also arrested two people on outstanding warrants. MPD also arrested two people for battery, stemming from an incident outside of the two locations.
Additionally, excise police issued misdemeanor summonses to three people on preliminary charges of possession of marijuana.
