FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – One person is dead following a shooting on Fort Wayne’s southeast side.
Around 1:20 Saturday morning, officers were called out to the 3000 block of McDonald Street on a report of a shooting. When police arrived, they found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. Medics pronounced the man dead at the scene.
An autopsy performed Saturday revealed the cause of death was from the gun shot wound or wounds. The Allen County Coroner's Office identified the victim as Antonio Galvan III, 28, of Fort Wayne.
Right now, officers do not have a suspect description or motive for the shooting.
This shooting marks the sixth homicide in Fort Wayne and Allen County in 2013.
