MILFORD, Ind. (WANE) Milford Town Marshal Rich Miotto released a statement on Tuesday that said the Milford department began an investigation possible accounts of child molestation by a family member on Oct. 18.
The information was brought to law enforecement by Child Protective Services (CPS). CPS stated that incident may have been occurring since 2008.
When officers interviewed the suspect, Kent Adam Flannery, 31, of Milford, he admitted his involvement.
Flannery was charged and arrested on Monday. He faces one count of felony child molestation with a victim less than 14 years old.
As of Tuesday afternoon, he was being held in the Kosciusko County Jail on $20,000 bond.
Officials are not releasing the name or age of the victim due to the sensitivity of the case.
