WARSAW, Ind. (WANE) - Police found a Methamphetamine lab in the Economy Inn on Lake City Highway in Warsaw on Sunday night.

Steven DeWayne Stanley, 42, and Carrie Ann Timmons, 35, both from Warsaw, were found in the motel room. Stanley was trying to hide himself and a “cooking lab” when police found him in the bathroom.

Authorities said items associated with the manufacture, sale and possession of Methamphetamine, along with the controlled substances Xanax, Methadone and Oxycontin were also found in the room.

Stanley and Timmons were both booked into the Kosciusko County Jail Sunday night for charges of dealing, delivery and manufacturing Methamphetamine, possession of controlled substances, and possession of precursors used in manufacturing Methamphetamine.

All of the charges are felonies.

Police said because of the proximity to a public housing apartment complex, Eastgate Apartments, the charges will be increased, which makes the potential penalties greater.
