KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - Police arrested a man and woman Wednesday in connection with stealing boats in the Papakeechie Lake area.
Police said they found Lindsay Raye Housman, 25, of Cromwell, walking near Raggedy Ann Lake in the Enchanted Hills housing addition Wednesday around 3:30 p.m. after they received information that implicated Housman's involvement in stealing at least two aluminum flat bottom boats and various power tools.
According to police, they also received information about the involvement of Charles Norris, 29, of Cromwell, in the same boat thefts, which occurred during the fall of 2012. Police obtained an arrest warrant for Norris on felony burglary and two counts of felony theft charges.
Officials said Norris was originally arrested on November 24 and is being held in the Whitley County Jail on other unrelated charges including: felony escape, aggravated battery, and intimidation with a deadly weapon and violation of his probation.
Police said they arrested Housman Wednesday afternoon on preliminary charges of felony theft and burglary. She is being held on a $5,000 bond in the Kosciusko County Jail.
