Man, 27, arrested for Marion homicide

MARION, Ind. (WISH) - Police have arrested a 27-year-old man for the murder of a 23-year-old Marion woman.

Police arrested Zachary Allen Thien in a Walmart parking lot in Westchester, Ohio early Saturday morning for the shooting death of Megan Chipman. Thien is facing murder charges.

Around 6:50 a.m. Friday morning, officers were called to an area near Hotel Marion, 501 E. Fourth St., about gunshots being fired. When they arrived they found Chipman in the road on State Road 18 with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the head.

Chipman was later pronounced dead at Marion General Hospital.
