Long time sportscaster facing drunk driving charges

HUNTINGTON COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - A long time Fort Wayne sportscaster is facing several charges related to drinking and driving after getting pulled over on I-69 in Huntington County on Sunday evening.

An officer with the Markle police department pulled Kent Hormann over after he was seen driving erratically near mile marker 289..
 
According to the biography posted on Indiana's NewsCenter's website, Hormann works as a sports co-host and fill-in sports anchor for the station. He also served as the Sports Director at WKJG NewsCenter 33 for many years.

After failing a field sobriety test, Hormann was given a breathalyzer test which registered a BAC of .13.

According to court documents, Hormann was charged with two Class A Misdemeanors, operating a vehicle while intoxicated and endangering a person; two Class C Misdemeanors, operating a vehicle with a BAC equivalent to at least .08 but less than .15 and operating a vehicle while intoxicated; and two Class C Infractions, driving left of center and operating a motor vehicle with a fictitious registration number.
 
Hormann's next court date is schedule for October 15.
 
As of Thursday evening, Hormann's bio was no longer visible on INC's website.
