LaGrange official charged with theft

LAGRANGE, Ind. (WANE) - Police arrested LaGrange Town Clerk Michael Rowlison Tuesday and charged him with two counts of theft and one count of official misconduct, according to NewsChannel 15's partners at KPC News.
As of Tuesday afternoon, Rowlison, 66, was being held in the LaGrange County Jail on a $12,000 bond.
His arrest was the result of an investigation by the LaGrange County Sheriff's Department. It is not clear exactly what was stolen, but officials said the investigation is continuing and that they believe the situation has been going on for several years.
Rowlison has served as town clerk since 2000 and was just re-elected last year.
