DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - A joint investigation between several police agencies resulted in the arrest of a Spencerville man Tuesday, along with the seizure of cultivated marijuana plants, processed marijuana, guns and tens of thousands of dollars in cash.

The Indiana State Police Emergency Response Team raided a home in the 6700 block of County Road 68 at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, arresting Curtis Wittwer, 65, of Spencerville. Wittwer faces charges of felony cultivating and dealing marijuana and is in the DeKalb County Jail, according to the Indiana State Police.

Police also said they recovered eight handguns, three shotguns, three assault-style rifles, two lever action rifles and more than $88,000 in U.S. currency from the home.

In early September, the Allen County Drug Task Force enlisted the assistance of the Indiana State Police Marijuana Eradication Team from the Fort Wayne post after getting a tip of marijuana activity in the Spencerville area.

A joint investigation by the Indiana State Police, the Allen County Drug Task Force and the Drug Enforcement Administration followed, leading to Tuesday's arrest.

Police said the investigation is still ongoing.
