Reed Street death was a shooting

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - UPDATE Dec. 20, 3:39: The Allen County Coroner's Office released the identity of the man killed on Wednesday night in the 3100 block of Reed Street.

Ramareo Debrad Booher, 19, of Fort Wayne, died of gunshot wound(s). Booher's death has been declared a homicide, the 29th homicide for Fort Wayne and Allen County in 2012.

Just before 9 p.m., officers responded to a call of a man down in the 3100 block of Reed Street. Officers were directed to an alley were they discovered a man who was deceased.

Police spokesperson Officer Jeremy Webb said in a statement that a crime scene was established as standard procedure and the area was canvassed for potential witness information.

The Allen County Coroner's Officer will determine a manner of death.

The name of the deceased has not been released.

The incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, Allen County Prosecutor's Office, and the Allen County Coroner's Office.
