FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. (WANE) - Police in Flagler County, Florida have solved a 2009 bank robbery and have a Fort Wayne man in custody in connection with it.
According to the Florida Times-Union, Antonio Jose Aviles, 27, was arrested in Fort Wayne recently after his DNA was added to a national database.
Investigators reportedly believe Aviles and another man held up the Floridian Bank on Boulder Rock Drive in 2009 and fired several shots before fleeing.
Aviles was returned to Florida on Wednesday and faces charges of armed robbery, aggravated battery and grand theft, according to the Florida Times-Union.
