WILLIAMS COUNTY, Ohio (WANE) - The Williams County Sheriff's Department is investigating a burglary Thursday and an involved suspect who admitted to several other crimes, according to a police report.
Around 9:45 a.m., Williams County police received a call of a burglary in progress in the 01100 block of County Road 20 in Stryker. According to the report, a passerby noticed a man loading items from the property on to a truck and trailer.
Several hours later, Ohio State Troopers spotted a vehicle matching the description of the truck and trailer near Ney in Defiance County.
Police arrested Keith A. Bair, 26, rural Defiance County, for felony breaking and entering.
According to the report, Bair was questioned by troopers and admitted to his involvement in the crime. Williams County deputies also questioned Bair who admitted he was involved in several other crimes in Williams County, according to the report.
Bair is currently being held at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio on a felony charge of breaking and entering. He is also being held on a Defiance County warrant for failure to appear on an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
The report said further charges are pending from crimes Bair admitted to in Williams County.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol, Williams County Sheriff's Department and Defiance County Sheriff's Department all assisted with the investigation.
