WARSAW, Ind. (WANE) - According to Milford Police, a Warsaw man is behind bars Thursday after stealing a utility vehicle from the Town of Milford Street Department lot.
23-year-old Richard Vesley Wilson, 960 N. Old Orchard Drive, Warsaw, was arrested Thursday morning and preliminary charged with felony theft.
Milford Town Marshal Rich Miotto responded to a 911 call of a possible golf cart that had rolled-over near the intersection of CR 100 East and CR 1250 North, just east of the town of Milford.
When he arrived, he found the vehicle to actually be an Artic Cat, double seat U.T.V. utility vehicle with no one around. It was discovered shortly afterwards, that the U.T.V. was stolen from the Milford Street Department parking lot and belong to town employee Randy Veach.
Various officers from Milford P.D., Syracuse P.D., Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, Indiana State Police, and Indiana Conservation Officers then tried to locate the driver.
Milford police say members of the Milford Fire Department located Wilson near the area of CR 175 East and Beer Road. Milford P.D. found Wilson and took him to the Kosciusko County Jail. Wilson’s bond was set at $2,000.00.
