Canine units find man running from cops

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - A Silver Lake man is behind bars after running from Kosciusko County police Thursday afternoon at Diamond Lake.

22-year-old Michael Ryan Nelson, of 5306 W. Warren Ave., Silver Lake, was arrested for fleeing & resisting law enforcement and having an outstanding B felony burglary warrant.

Kosciusko County Sheriff Deputy Dalis Owens responded to a citizen’s tip that Mike Nelson was at the Diamond Lake residence with an outstanding warrant around 11:30 a.m.

After checking the residence, Deputy Owens later found Neslon getting away through a field northwest of the property. County officers used canine units to track Nelson and around 2:35 p.m., found him with his brother near the area of CR 850 South and 600 West.

His bond for both charges is currently set at $10,500.00.
