FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Thanks to tips received via Crime Stoppers , a man suspected of following a woman out of a gas station and holding her up at gunpoint has been arrested.

Justin M. Alexander, 33, of Fort Wayne, was located by Fort Wayne police around 1:00 a.m. on Friday. Alexander and police became involved in a car chase that ended when Alexander's car crashed into the porch of a house in the 700 block of Madison Street.

Alexander was the driver and the only person in the car.

Alexander was arrested in connection to armed robbery of the woman and in connection with a gas station robbery that occurred the same day.

Alexander was taken to the Allen County Jail on two robbery charges, resisting law enforcement charges, a weapons offense charge, and a charge for receiving stolen automobile parts.

These incidents remain under investigation with the City of Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
