ANDERSON, Ind. (AP) -- A central Indiana man faces attempted murder and other charges after police say he tried to run down an officer during a police chase.
Twenty-one-year-old Marc Miquels II of Anderson was arrested Friday on felony charges of attempted murder, intimidation by pointing a weapon and fleeing in a vehicle. He was being held Saturday at the Madison County Jail on multiple warrants.
Madison County Sheriff Ron Richardson tells The Herald-Bulletin (http://bit.ly/103N7rt ) Miquels faced four warrants before he fled officers trying to pull him over for a seat belt violation.
Pendleton Police Chief Marc Farrer says Miquels steered toward one of his officers, trying to hit him with his pickup truck, but the officer jumped out of the truck's path.
Officers arrested Miquels after subduing him with a stun gun.
