FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Fort Wayne police are investigating a bar fight that spilled outside and ended with a man being fatally stabbed.
According to police, shortly before 1:30 a.m. Sunday, officers were called to the Dug Out Bar, 3401 Fairfield Avenue for a stabbing.
Officers found an adult male, later identified as Reynaldo Morales, 41, of Fort Wayne, on the sidewalk near the rear door of the bar, according to police.
Paramedics transported Morales to a hospital in critical condition where he later died.
According to police, witnesses told them a fight occurred inside the bar involving the victim. Several people inside the bar broke up the fight inside. Police said management decided to close the bar for the night and ordered patrons out of the bar.
Witnesses then told police the fight continued outside and an adult male left the area.
Official autopsy reports show the victim died due to stab wounds.
Police said Morales is the 25th homicide victim for Fort Wayne and Allen County in 2012.
The incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, Allen County Prosecutor's Office, and the Allen County Coroner's Office.
