WARREN, Ind. (WANE) - Fire officials in Warren believe arson might be the reason behind a vacant house fire early Wednesday morning.
Shortly after midnight, firefighters were called to a house on the corner of Nancy Street and 3rd Street near downtown.
Firefighters were able to save the house from extensive damage, but called for police officers to look over the house because of its vacant status.
Huntington police told NewsChannel 15 the house has been vacant for several years. There are no connected utilities to the residence.
Investigators will return to the house later Wednesday to try and determine a cause.
Police said they have no suspects.
Anyone with information should call the Huntington County Sheriff's Department.
