NEW HAVEN, Ind. (WANE) While serving warrants for a probation violation and for leaving the scene of an accident, Indiana State Police found a meth lab in a garage and arrested two.

Police served the warrants for Michael Jay Neuenschwander, 22, of New Haven at about 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday and noticed a strong chemical smell coming from the garage of the house in the 16200 block of Edgerton Road.

They had identified Neuenschwander and Jeremy L. Combs, 24, of Ashley, who was also on the scene.

When police investigated further, they found a one-pot meth lab and called in State Police Clandestine Laboratory Team.

Neuenschwander faces the charges from the arrest warrants as well as manufacturing Methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, and maintaining a common nuisance.

Combs faces charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, visiting a common nuisance, and possession of paraphernalia.
